Distortion Leagues Live Suspect Tour Season 1 : Scoreboard and Rules Empty Distortion Leagues Live Suspect Tour Season 1 : Scoreboard and Rules

Welcome, welcome to the first season of the Distortion League Live Suspect tours.

For several or more weeks, starting on 11/22, we will be holding many tours on our own PO server. The schedule here will tell you the tier of choice for each day. Points will be distributed to each participant of the tour, with more points being awarded to those who advance the farthest.

The rules and procedures are as follows.

1. Standard clauses apply to all matches. All of the following are considered standard clauses.
-Sleep Clause - No two pokemon may be willingly put to sleep at the same time by your opponent.
-Evasion Clause - Double Team/Minimize are banned. Inconsistent/Acupressure are not banned.
-OHKO Clause - All OHKO moves are banned.
-Self-KO Clause - The opponent loses if he/she explodes with his/her last pokemon and takes out your last pokemon.
-Uber Clause - Barring the suspects, all Uber pokemon are banned from OU. Likewise, all BL pokemon, except suspects, are banned from UU
-(Optional)WiFi Clause - If both players agree, a player may begin a match the normal way a wifi match would begin (Team selection). This one is totally not mandatory and not required if you feel uncomfortable playing with revealed teams, as this one is an option for those who are simply so used to it.

2. Given the frequency of these tours and the cap at about 16 players, the amount of points received will not be rather fairly high. Points are as follows:

1 Point for Participating
2 points for moving to Round 2
3 Points for moving to the Semifinals
4 Points for winning the finals.

NOTE: Bear in mind these points do not stack for a single tour. You will only get 2 points if you made it to R2 and no further.

3. After several weeks have passed, one final tour will take place among the top 8 people who scored the most points. The winner of this tour will receive a special prize recognizing his victory.

4. While the tours are taking place. The staff will being pulling up statistics and holding surveys to help determine the tiering of the suspects. If a pokemon causes the metagame to become way too unhealthy, we reserve the right to ban said pokemon if with all come to a consensus about it. The banning would take effect the next week. Likewise, if there is a banned pokemon that might warrant testing, and we reach a consensus, we will most likely move it down for that week and analyze it, and if said pokemon ends up being broken, it will be re-banned the following week. The characteristics that we will determine for banning a pokemon will fall into three categories.

Offensive Characteristic - A pokemon is Uber/BL if it is capable of inflicting serious damage, or even sweeping whole teams with little effort.

Defensive Characteristic - A pokemon is Uber/BL if it is capable of stalling out a huge proportion of the metagame it is in by itself.

Support Characteristic - A pokemon is Uber/BL if it is capable of allowing other pokemon to sweep with little trouble. This one is not entirely limited to support options alone, as a wallbreaker may fall into this category if it can allow a huge number of pokemon to sweep with little trouble.

The main words you should pay attention to are "little effort" or "little trouble". SD Lucario sweeping a whole team because the player set up the maximum of every single hazard and had Sand in play would not fall into the offensive characteristic.

5. As of right now, all Dream World abilities and unreleased event pokemon are allowed.

6. If there is an error in the tier list for some reason (pokemon not in the right tier on the server), report this please.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That covers most of the rules for this season. Bear in mind we would rather view this as fun rather than business. We do not want you to participate in these tours because we are greedy for a tier list. We want you to participate for the fun of it.

Good Luck and have fun!
